Wouldn't it be wonderful to capture the beauty of a favorite spot? Yosemite, Tuscany, your trip to Napa...all painted on a tile. These hand painted tiles are dishwasher safe and can be heated in the oven up to 300° for 10 minutes. Then, wrap them in a dishtowel and slide them into your bread basket to keep your rolls nice and toasty. These original pieces of art would look wonderful gracing your kitchen
stove
as a spoon rest or on your wall as a trivet. What about your favorite beach spot painted on a stretch of tiles behind your sink? While you wash the dishes you can imagine you're in the warm waters of the Bahamas. My tiles also make great gifts or mementos...the church your daughter got married in, a series of tiles celebrating the poignant moments of your life, or a baby gift with a stork and all the pertinent information.
Single tiles are $35.00 each. Murals are charged by the image, not the number of tiles.
(Murals prices are based on the image, not the number of tiles)
Alexander Valley, the Napa River, French chateaus, Mondavi Winery, Half Dome, the Grand Canyon,
the Rengstorff House, churches where people were married, first homes.....anything can be painted on a tile.
These tiles are an affordable way to purchase original pieces of art. They are durable, utilitarian and make wonderful gifts.
I have a selection of tiles at any given moment.
What's available changes constantly. Any of these can be duplicated if they're
no longer available. If you're interested in a custom tile, we can do one of two things. You can trust me to
create an image for you or you can send me an picture which I will duplicate on tile.
I can usually get a tile in the mail within the week.
To clean your tile, do not use really toxic cleaners, such as oven cleaner . But 409, Windex, Scrubbing Bubbles, Pinesol etc., are all fine..the dishwasher works best probably . Nor should you use any abrasives (Comet, Bon Ami, Comet, steel wool, etc) as it is possible (though not likely) to scratch through this medium. A sponge, a cloth are just fine. Yes, you can scrub these...just
not with something that has a sharp
edge that can cut through the paint. I have had the tile mountain painting in my bathroom for years now with no scratches or changes to it in the least. Also, I painted vines behind my kitchen sink 8 years ago. Through all these years and all the cleaning, it looks just the same as it did when I originally painted it.
So the stuff is very durable...it's just not made out of kryptonite.
